Mangalore, Oct 15: The handbook of Kudla Kalavali, an art exhibition that will be held from November 24 to November 25 at Kadri Park here, was released by MR Pavanje, a senior artist, at Prasad Gallery here recently.
Ganesh Somayaji, president, Koti Prasad Alva, vice-president, N S Pattar, convener, Dinesh Holla, secretary of Kudla Kalavali and Karunakar MH of SS Creations were present on this occasion.
This exhibition is an attempt by artists' fraternity to bring together the artists of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod districts to showcase the artistic heritage of the region and help generate public patronage for art, stated a press note.
The objectives of Kudla Kalavali are to promote art and make it accessible to the general public, especially various forms of visual arts, invoke emotional and practical aspects of art, introduce senior artists to upcoming talents, to introduce contemporary works of art and portray the essence of art, added a press release.
More than 200 stalls will be erected on both sides of the road at Kadri Park. Some artists will give a live demonstration of landscape painting, mural painting, collage works, portrait painting, installation art, photography, and caricature, a press release informed.
Those interested to participate in the exhibition should register on or before Tuesday October 30. The applications are available at School Book Company, Car Street, Prasad Art Gallery and Ballal Bagh, the press note stated.
