Karkala, Apr 13: In an accident which occurred at Bailoor near here on the evening of Tuesday April 12, a youngster lost his life. A tipper which hit the motor bike he was riding, caused the death of Vineet Sushant (23), a resident of Nire village.

Vineet was riding his motor bike towards Govindoor from the direction of Bailoor on highway, when a tipper which came from opposite direction hit his bike opposite government nursery at Bailoor. Vineet suffered grave injuries to his head. He died when being carried to a private hospital at Bailoor.

The deceased is survived by mother and a brother.

It is learnt that Vineet used to do errands here and there, as he did not have a permanent job since sometime. He had recently bagged an employment at Manipal and was asked to join for duty on Wednesday. Elated at this happy development, he had bought an old motor bike on Tuesday and was riding it when he met with the above accident.

This accident reminded the family of Vineet about the gory accident which had taken away the life of his father 14 years back. Back then, when Vineet's father, Arun Kanchan, was walking with Vineet in Bailoor town, a vehicle had suddenly approached the duo from opposite direction. At the last minute, Arun had pushed Vineet away and saved his life, but in the bargain, had given up his own.

The policemen here have registered a case. Investigation is on.
