Four end lives in separate incidents in Udupi district

Udupi, Apr 9: Four persons committed suicide in separate incidents on Thursday April 7 in the district.

Sanjeeva Shetty (70), resident of Nemmadi Nilaya in Padu Anjaru in Anjaru village committed suicide between 4 and 5 pm on Thursday. He tightened the noose of the rope attached to the rotary wheel of the well and jumped into the wel. A report about this suicide was filed in Hiriyadka police station.

Giriya Naik from Galigudde in Shivapura village near Hebri committed suicide inside the bathroom of his home on Thursday evening. A case was filed about this incident in Hebri police station.

Raju Shetty from Alja Khajane in Shivapura village committed suicide by using the cloth he was wearing inside the bathroom of his house on Thursday afternoon. A report thereof stands registered in Hebri station.

Vittal Krishnappa Dasara (25), husband of Kavita Jajabai from Kulgod village in Gokak taluk, Belagavi district, who was a resident of Malpe since sometime, hanged himself with the help of nylon rope tied to iron rod inside the room of a house of Vatsala Bai for whom he worked. This case was filed in Malpe police station.
