Mangaluru: Nithayadar church celebrates of 25th anniversary

Mangaluru, Apr 3 : Nithyadarnagar church celebrated its 25th anniversary of their church which was dedicated by Late Bishop Basil S D’Souza on 2nd April 1991.

Solemn Eucharistic celebration was held at 5.30 pm in the Church grounds. Msgr Denis Moras Prahbu, Vicar General of the Diocese was the main Celebrant and the concelebrants were Fr Pius James D’Souza, Episcopal Vicar for the religious, Fr J B Saldanha, dean of Mangalore South and other priests of the deanery. Fr Pius James D’Souza preached a fitting homily during the Mass.












On this occasion two new projects, Solar Power Project and Water Supply Project, were inaugurated. Fr J.B Saldanha blessed and inaugurated solar power project of the Nithyadar English Medium School. It was installed by CAD systems Mangaluru at the cost of Rs 5.5 lac and it has the capacity to provide electricity to 13 class rooms and office of the school.

Fr Valerian D’Souza, parish priest of Milagres Praish blessed the water supply project and Ivan D’Souza, Vice-President of Milagres Parish inaugurated the same. The project costing around RS 4.5 lac is aimed to provide water for about a hundred families of the nithyadar sites.

During the programme Msgr Denis Moras Prahbu, was felicitated for being the founder of the Nithyadar Church.
