Puttur, Mar 31: A case stands registered in the rural police station here against a police sub-inspector and two police constables for allegedly entering a bar, assaulting the personnel working there, and posing them threat to life.
The sub-inspector in question, Santosh, and constables accused in the case belong to Adoor police station in Kasargod district. Allegedly, ;the trio had entered Sahaj Wines located at Kudkudi in Galimukha, Nettanaige Mudnoor village in the taluk on Saturday March 26 and attacked wine shop employees, Yashwant, Shashidhar, and Manjunath. While Yashwant filed complaint against the police atrocity in the rural police station, Sahaj Wines owner had complained to the district superintendent of police.
It is said that Shasidhar and Manjunath were taken into custody by the Adoor police. Both were released on bail by Kasargod court on Wednesday. The case mentions that the accused conducted operation by transgressing their area of operation and attacked workers of the wine shop located inside Karnataka.
