Mangaluru, Mar 18: The catechism day at Most Holy Redeemer Church celebrated on March 6 was indeed a beautiful day where all parents and children came before the altar for the meaningful Eucharistic celebration.
Rev Fr Anil Lobo asst parish priest celebrated the mass and the divine presence of the holy trinity was felt by the meaningful and thought provoking sermon by Fr Victor Vincent Menezes parish priest of the church.
After the mass there was a colourful cultural programme by the children from 1st std to 6th std. A variety of programmes like singing, dance, skits and quiz added joy and thrilled the hearts of all. Everyone took active part the celebration. It was a fitting occasion to explore the children’s talents.
The dais was beautified by the presence of all the dignitaries namely Fr Victor Vincent Menezes, Fr Anil Lobo, asst parish priest, Anil Patrao vice president PPC, and Edward Coelho secretary PPC and catechism coordinator. Fr Anil Lobo welcomed the gathering. Fr Victor Vincent Menezes spoke a few words on 'The Importance of Catechism in our Life”. Prizes were distributed to the students who maintained 100% attendance, toppers in the catechism exam and best work-book done. A token of appreciation was given to the teachers for their voluntary service in conducting the catechism classes.
The programme ended with words of gratitude by Edward Coelho.
