DC Ibrahim inaugurates ‘Eden inter-district floodlit Tennis tournament’

Mangaluru, Mar 13: DC A B Ibrahim inaugurated the ‘Eden inter-district floodlit Tennis tournament’ which saw a participation of 40 teams from various districts in two different categories.









After inaugurating the event, DC AB Ibrahim wished the organizers best of luck for the event. Chief guest Maroor Ram Mohan Pai, Prasident Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Eugene Rent, founder President, Eden club were present during the formal programme.

The first category for people below 45 years-old was named as ‘Excelsior club’ and it was sponsored by Vinid Patel, MD, Nissan motors. The second category for people above 45 years-old was called as ‘Bastikar cup’ and it was sponsored by Basti Venkatesh Shoney, managing partner, Bastikar enterprises.

In all, eight teams have reached the semifinal stage. The following teams have qualified for semis for the age group of below 45; Madhu and Danial, SA Hiss and Maaz, Amar and Nagaraj and Ganesh Babu and Manjunath.

The following teams have reached for the semis for the age group of above 45; Dr Musule Kumar and Prabhakar, Prasad and Ram Mohan Pai, Ganesh and Abdullah and Narayan and Nagarkar.

The knockout matches will start today at 6.30 pm onwards.
