Kundapur: Retired employees association urges fulfillment of demands

Kundapur, Feb 25: Taluk retired employees association members held protests in front of Kundapur Mini Vidhana Saudha on Tuesday February 23 urging for fulfilment of their five demands.


They demanded increase of pension on the basis of the recommendation from director of pensions department, include retired employees in Jyothi Sanjeevini Arogya Bhagya scheme, revise the medical attendance rule 1969 on the basis of cost of living index, an amount of Rs 20,000 for the last rites of retired employees and providing facilities as per recommendation from union government's seventh pay commission.

The protesters submitted a copy of their memorandum to the chief secretary of the state government through the tahsildar. State retired government employees association president B Bhojaraja Shetty,
organizing secretary V H Nayak, chief secretary Bhaskar Ganiga and other office bearers were present.
