Mirpur (Bangladesh), Feb 11 (IANS): The Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team is greatly motivated by the achievements of the senior national team over the past year.
The team's technical consultant Stuart Law said the youngsters were keen to perform feats similar to those of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and his men, reports bdnews24.com.
The youth team is marking Bangladesh's first semi-final appearance in a world event as they are playing the West Indies in the semi-final of the U-19 World Cup here on Thursday.
"They (Bangladesh U-19) had great strides forward in the last couple of weeks. That's due to the real success of the national team," Law said.
"The young Tigers want to emulate what their heroes are doing. We have been conscious that we want to make steady improvements each day and the boys are working hard to that. I am extremely proud of the boys."
