Mangaluru, Feb 10: District in-charge minister Ramanath Rai lashed out at Udupi Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje on the issue of implementation of Kasturirangan report and tiger reserve, here at a press meet held at Circuit House on Wednesday, February 10.

Addressing media persons Rai said "The final report on Kasturirangan report has already been sent to central environment department after visiting the areas which would be affected by it. We have recommended the areas excluding the residential areas. Central environment department has to issue the final notifications. Udupi MP accused us of delaying in implementation of Kasturirangan report. Why is she not talking about it now? Blaming without any reason is not right. She should not do such politics."

"They had made a false propaganda that UPA government had sanctioned the tiger reserve in Udupi district. But the fact was UPA had not sanctioned the tiger reserve. Some people had secured otes in Karkala by making this false publicity. But now NDA government has sanctioned the tiger reserve. Then they had said that they will not allow it to come there, but now they themselves have sanctioned it. They are cheating the people, this is not acceptable. We will not allow it come there and trouble the people of that region. MP should take back that project and stop doing such politics." Rai added.

Corporators Shashidar Hegde, Mahabal Maarla, Kavitha Sanil and others were present.
