Mumbai, Jan 5: Chembur Karnataka High school and Higher primary school convened by Chembur Karnataka Sangha celebrated their annual cultural programme titled Sahitya Sahavasa 2016 at Chembur Ghatla village on Saturday January 2. Vice president of the Sangha, Prabhakar T Bolar presided over the programme. Retired principal of Satya Sai Loka Seva Vidya Kendra, Alake Haridasa K Sanjeeva lit the traditional lamp and praised the contribution of Mumbai Kannadigas in religious, cultural and educational areas is immense.
Honorary chief secretary of the Sangha, Ranjankumar Ameen, treasurer T R Shetty, joint secretary Devadas K Shettigar, joint treasurer Sunder N Kotian and other office bearers were present.
Students sang the prayer. Secretary of cultural sub committee of the Sangha, Dayasagar Chowta welcomed, introduced the guests and felicitated the programme. He also compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
Natyam Nilayam Manjeshwar group presented the classical Janapada, dance, Bharathanatya, Mohinyattam, Kuchipudi and multi cultured programme. School students presented jokes.
