Goa, Dec 2: Crime Branch has moved to the local court asking its permission to put two minors to lie detector test in connection with priest-turned-social activist Fr Bismarque Dias death case. Both the minors were last seen with the priest before his corpse was found floating in a river in his village of St Estevam, near Panaji.
The investigation team headed by superintendent of police Karthik Kashyap has decided to go for lie detector test on both the teenagers who are witness to the incidents that happened after priest’s death.
Bismarque’s body was found on November 5. The family members are yet to collect body from Goa Medical College and Hospital morgue where it is preserved. The post-mortem report has said he died due to drowning.
The Old Goa police had initially investigated this case summing up that there is no foul play. But well wishers and family members of the social activist were not happy forcing Crime Branch to take over the probe.
