Bantwal, Nov 19: As per the directions issued by the state minister for health and family welfare, U T Khader, a team of medial officers visited the house of Harish from Navoor in the taluk, who was recently killed by a gang, on Wednesday November 18. The minister, during his visit to the family on Tuesday, had asked the district health officer to check the health condition of the members of this family and send a report thereof to him.
The team, which was also accompanied by some medical staff, was led by district health officer, Dr Ramakrishna Rao. The team tested the health condition of Harish's father, Srinivas Poojary, who happens to be a cancer patient.
The team also checked the health condition of Harish's mother, Seethamma, who is mentally drained due to the sudden death of her son, and sister, Mithilakshi. After the specialist doctors conducted different tests to determine the health condition of Harish's parents, district health officer instructed the taluk health officer to monitor the situation till the health condition of the family members shows considerable improvement.
Dr Rao said that a health assistant of Navoor primary health centre has been specially designated to look after the family's health condition, and that health assistants would visit their home twice every day to provide necessary treatment. He added that steps have been taken to provide health care and other facilities at their home for the family members towards achaieving faster improvement of health.
