Bengaluru, Nov 18 (IANS): The second cricket Test between India and South Africa was declared as a draw as the fifth and final day's play was called off without a ball being bowled due to rain at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Wednesday.
The umpires made the first inspection at 10 a.m. and after the second and final inspection that took place at 11.30 p.m., they took the decision to call off the day.
Play was also called off on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
India, at 80 for no loss, were trailing South Africa by 134 runs at the end of Day One with openers Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan batting on 28 and 45 respectively.
Earlier, India bowled South Africa out for 214 runs in the first innings.
