Turin (Italy), Nov 17 (IANS): Italian football club Torino has renewed the contract of head coach Giampiero Ventura until June 2018.
The Serie A side also on Monday announced the continuation of Gianluca Petrachi as the club's sporting director until 2018, reports Efe.
The 67-year-old Ventura took charge of Torino in 2011 leading them from Serie B to the European competitions.
The most important period of the tactician was the 2013-2014 season, when Torino qualified to the knockout stages of the Europa League, before being eliminated in a 0-2 defeat against Zenit St. Petersburg of Russia.
Currently, Torino are in the 11th place in Series A with 15 points.
