Mukesh Tiwari to play 'menacing' role in 'Yeh Ishq Sarfira'

Mumbai, Nov 11 (IANS): “Golmaal" fame actor Mukesh Tiwari will play a negative role in the upcoming action-based emotional drama “Yeh Ishq Sarfira”, a film based on real life events.

"Mukesh Tiwari is extremely popular for his comic roles in the "Golmaal" series but he's playing an extremely opposite character in 'Yeh Ishq Sarfira', which proves his versatility,” director Varun Khanna told IANS in an interview.

"In the intense conflict between the two warring families in the film, he plays the most hurt, intense and menacing character, out to seek revenge for his brother's death,” he added.

Mukesh also showed his acting talents in films like “Gangaajal” and “China Gate” are often considered to be one of his best and deadly performances.

But Khanna believes his act in "Yeh Ishq Sarfira" goes one notch higher as he is seen mouthing expletives and cuss words.

"His character and his performance in my film is a lot more intense and fierce than in 'Gangaajal'. So I hope that 'Yeh Ishq Sarfira' is considered as one of the best performances of his career," Khanna said.

The film is based on the intense battle between two families on the land issue with revenge, murder, violence and love forming crucial elements in the narrative.

“Yeh Ishq Sarfira” is produced by Sushila D.R. Tokas and Kavita Ashraf Ali under the banner Rahul Productions and A.K. Films. Mates Entertainment is releasing it all over India on November 27.
