Udupi, Oct 22: The infants neonatal intensive care unit and the children's block of Adarsha Hospital was inaugurated and blessed by Shree Vishwapriya Swamiji of Aadhmar Mutt.
Speaking on the occasion he said,"Doctors are like priests and patients are like idols who come to the priests, the doctors. When idols come to priests they are in pain and sorrow, but when they return after receiving blessings from the priests they return with happiness. We have only one goal, that is wiping away the tears of society, that is of the needy.
Adarsha Hospital managing director Dr Chandrashekar has provided all the facilities for his patients in every way. Dr Guruprasad Shetty has taken over the responsibility of serving infants and children. I wish the entire team all the best in their work.”
In his keynote, managing director of Adharsha Hospital, Dr Chandrashekar said,"The hospital has completed 10 years of its service today. When it began, there were only 60 beds available for patients. In 2008, the number increased to 100. We then introduced cardiology and also one of the best neurologists Dr Raja took over the neurology section. From then on we introduced many specialized doctors at our hospital. Free medical camps are conducted every first Sunday of the month. “
Dr Guruprasad Shetty who heads this new block has done his MD at Father Mullers Hospital, Mangaluru, fellowship in Neonatology at Rammayya Medical College. He will be available at Adharsha Hospital from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm, 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
Dr Krishnamurthy Upadhaya, Dr Raja, Thimmappa Shetty, Siddharamappa were present at the event.
