Chinese shares open mixed

Beijing, Oct 22 (IANS): Chinese stocks opened mixed on Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edging down 0.86 percent to open at 3,292.29 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.05 percent higher at 10,921.18 points, Xinhua reported.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, opened 0.44 percent higher at 2,355.16 points.
