Panaji, Jul 25: Goa chief minister Digamber Kamat today said that he would investigate into attempts of horse-trading of few congress legislators by the opposition.

``I will discuss the matter with the home minister and contemplate action against those involved in horse-trading activity,’’ the chief minister said.

``We will have to investigate into from where such huge sum of money has come,’’ Kamat told reporters here on the backdrop of Goa legislative assembly session.

Goa saw a few destabilization moves on Tuesday when congress legislators publicly disclosed about the offers for them to resign and dethrone the government. A congress legislator, in his media interview, disclosed that Rs 20 crore were offered to him to resign.

``These (luring with money) are attempts by few frustrated people as they are worried that Congress will give good governance to the people,’’ the chief minister said.

Kamat said that his assurance to dig into the regional plan 2007 has evoked such a strong reaction. ``People who fear to get exposed are making attempts to destabilize the government…. Or else from where will this money come,’’ the chief minister questioned.

Reiterating that his government is stable, the chief minister said that everything is well within the congress legislators. ``There are no problems, they are being created,’’ he said.

Echoing sentiments of the chief minister, deputy speaker Mauvin Godinho today demanded thorough inquiry into the attempts to lure the legislators with money.

``This is criminal…. I am going to inform this to the house (assembly),’’ Godinho, who tried to raise the issue during `zero hour’ in the state legislative assembly told reporters.
