Mangalore, Jul 23: The patron's feast of St Jacob’s Church of Kateel was held here on Sunday July 22.
Fr Alfred Pinto, dean of Kinnigoli deanery was the main celebrant for the Eucharistic celebrations. Fr Henry Tauro, Fr Louis Sequeira, Fr Noel Almeida and parish priest of the church Fr Robert Crasta were the concelebrants on the occasion.
In his sermon Fr Alfred Pinto recalled the qualities and adventurous life of Martyr St Jacob and urged the parishioners to walk in his footsteps to build a healthy family, society and parish.
Candles were distributed for the feast sponsors. Sweets were distributed to the parishioners after the mass.
