London, Oct 7 (IANS): English Premier League side Liverpool is to appoint former Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp as their new manager.
The 48-year-old is in talks with the Reds and will be unveiled as Brendan Rodgers' successor by Friday, Xinhua reported, citing local media.
Rodgers was sacked on Sunday following the 1-1 Premier League draw at Everton, leaving Liverpool at the 10th position after eight games.
Liverpool's next game is at Tottenham on October 17.
Klopp, who led Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles, has been out of work since departing this summer.
