Mumbai, Jan 6: The BSKB Association (Gokul) launched its year-long centenary celebrations on Sunday, marking a significant milestone for the community in Mumbai. The event kicked off with a grand religious ceremony at the Saraswati Sabhagraha, where Paryavar Vishwaprassanna Shri delivered a powerful message about the importance of faith and divine grace.

"Without God's grace, efforts are futile," said Paryavar Vishwaprassanna Shri, emphasizing that both hard work and divine blessings are key to a fulfilling life. The centenary celebration, running through 2025, will feature a series of events celebrating the association's legacy of "unity, tradition, and culture."

The association, established over 100 years ago, has grown from a small community initiative in Gokul to a prominent cultural and spiritual hub in Maharashtra. Today, it is a symbol of the rich cultural heritage of the Brahmin community, playing a pivotal role in preserving and promoting Indian traditions.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including renowned cardiologist Dr Sadanand R Shetty, priest Dr MJ Praveen Bhat, and association president Dr Suresh S Rao, who highlighted the centenary as a testament to the enduring legacy of the community's cultural and spiritual values.

The morning's events included several religious rituals such as Ganahoma, Gayatri Mantra Homam, and Navagraha Shanti Homam, all performed by renowned Vedic scholars. The ceremony also featured tributes to centenarians of the community, Satyabhama Bhat Pareil and Ramesh Pattavardhan Pune.

In addition, the association unveiled several commemorative items, including the centenary logo, photographs of Lord Gopalakrishna, and a special Gokul song. The celebration culminated in vibrant bhajans by local music groups, further strengthening the community's bond.

As the centenary year progresses, the BSKB Association plans to host a wide array of cultural, religious, and educational events, reaffirming its commitment to preserving its rich traditions for generations to come.
