Kundapur, Jul 16: Inaugurating the mid-day meals programme at St Mary’s High School the former councilor of Kundapura Town Municipality and the member of the administrative council of St Mary’s High School Vinay Pais said the mid-day meals in our educational institutions would provide a good motivating factor to poor students and owing to this school drop-out rate has come down drastically.
Anne Dais, member of school administrative council graced the occasion as chief guest. Coney Rebello, the headmistress of the Holy Rosary English Medium School and M P Poojary, the headmaster of the primary school were present on the dais. Zeeta D’Silva, the headmistress of the high school welcomed the gathering.
Senior teacher L J Fernandez proposed the vote of thanks. Bhasker Ganiga compered the programme. Fr Anthony Lobo, school correspondent and Fr Prakash Coutinho, the principal of St Mary's College spoke on the occasion and wished all the best for the mid-day scheme.
