Mangalore, Jul 15: "Youth should gain jobs in the government sector such as banking and other departments. There are ample opportunities in these sectors.  However our catholic youth are not aware of it" said DK Congress vice president Ivan D’Souza.

He was speaking to the audience after inaugurating the silver jubilee celebration of ICYM Kelarai unit.

Konkani Prachar Sanchalan president Roy Castelino while delivering key note speech said that there lies the dire need for the youth to work towards preserving our language and culture.

Fr Mark Castelino, parish priest has presided over the function.

Mangalore ICYM director Fr Anil D’Souza, ICYM Kelarai unit vice president Maxim Pinto, parish council vice president Jossy Rodrigues, were present on the dais.
 
ICYM silver jubilee committee president Deeraj Sequeira welcomed. ICYM silver jubilee committee secretary Zita Crasta proposed the vote of thanks. Canute Kelarai compered the programe.

The new office bearers of parish council were felicitated during the function.
 
As a part of silver jubilee, the programes will be held throughout the year while the main event will be scheduled in Jan 2008.
