Udupi, Jul 4: Nagarjuna Virodhi Samiti will submit its last memorandum to chief minister on July 9 and 10 to drop the plan of setting up of Nagarjuna power plant at Nandikur, said Vijaykumar Hegde, executive committee president of Samiti.
Speaking at a press conference here, he said that an appeal would be submitted to the governor too. In the coming days, different organizations would stage protest everyday and submit memorandum to the district commissioner, he informed.
The Padubidri police sub inspector has filed false cases against the agitators. Hence, a private complaint will be filed against him. A complaint will also be given to the Lokayukta regarding the massacre of democracy in Nandikur, he added.
A last memorandum will also be given to the district in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya. If he is not responding positively, the agitators would seek his resignation and a protest would be staged in front of his house, Hegde said.
Jiteshkumar, Kumaraswami, Harish Padukere, Janardan Tingalaya, Rama Kanchan, Vikram Baliga, Rajesh Yermal and Suresh Acharya were present at the press conference.
