Mangalore, Jul 1: An unruly gang attacked three youth  with deadly weapons in different locations, first at Falnir and later at  State bank, here on Saturday, June 30.

The victims have been identified as Abdul Aziz (32) and Afeed (21) residents of Bajal Kattepuni Jalligudde and Asif (21) a resident of Veeranagar.  Afeed is working in a bakery, whereas Asif is working in an oil industry and Abdul Aziz is employed as a mason.

Asif was dragged out of the bus and assaulted by nearly 15 to 20 people and later the same gang attacked Afeed and Abdul Aziz at State bank. All three of them were so badly beaten that they had to be hospitalized and are currently being treated in the hospital. In fact Abdul Aziz underwent a surgery on Saturday.

The motive for the attack has not yet been ascertained but it is understood that the said gang had a heated argument on Friday on the way to State bank from Jalligudde with the 3 victims, as the gang had been disturbing the bus driver. The alleged victims had opposed the disturbance caused to people. This is believed to be one of the main reasons for the attack.

A case against the gang has been registered at the Pandeswar police station and as per the statements given by the victims, they have identified their assailants as Ashok, Divakar, Niranjan, Harish, Munna, Kishor and Sharvana, all Bajal residents.
