Mangaluru: Rain plays truant - coast goes through another sweltering day

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Sep 2: Coastal Karnataka went through another hot day, as no rain was reported from anywhere in the region on Tuesday September 1. The rain which had turned sporadic several days back, had ceased to occur thereafter. As a result, temperature in the region has been going higher with each passing day.

Although there were occasions when the skies turned cloudy, rains did not appear as hoped. Although maximum temperature hovered around 32 degrees and minimum at 25, it felt much hotter because of the absence of wind.

As per weather forecast, the maximum temperature will stay at the level of 32 degrees for a few days now onward. Some rain is also predicted and coasts are expected to experience wind velocity between 45 and 55 km per hour, as per the warning issued by the meteorological department.
