Bengaluru, Aug 15 (IANS): Dr. DY Patil Academy from Mumbai overwhelmed Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) XI by an innings and 31 runs on the second day of the four-day match in the final of the KSCA All-India cricket tournament here on Saturday.
Spinners Iqbal Abdullah (5 for 39) and Swapnil Singh (3 for 44) yet again had the measure of the KSCA batsmen who collapsed in a heap to be all out for 92 in their second innings after trailing by 123 runs in the first essay.
Patil Academy, thanks to a century by Yogesh Takawale (110, 124b, 12x4, 4x6) made 307 in reply to KSCA's first innings tally of 184 and went on to bundle out the hosts to chalk up a fluent victory.
