Udupi, Jul 21: Sri Rama Sene south zone president Mahesh Koppa has said that a training camp would be held on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday July 26 at Manipal Narasimha temple premises to guide the Hindu community on various issues.
In a press meet held in Udupi, he alleged that the police have been registering cases under the Goonda Act against those who complain against illegal traffic of cattle. "We will give suitable answer in the days for arresting 118 activists who had informed about traffic of cattle. We will be deciding on the further course of action during a training session on July 25," he said.
He also alleged that the state government recently withdrew cases against KFD and PFI activists due to pressure.
"We will be holding the training sesssion on July 25 and July 26 at Manipal Narasimha temple premises. Around 250 people from 18 districts will be participating in it. The candidates will be guided on aspects like challenges to our community and problems faced by the country," he said.
"Slaughter of cattle, religious conversion, love Jihad, support to minorities, assault on Hindu activists and Hindu beliefs have been a challenge to the Hindu community. The guidance during the camp will make the community feel secure and boost confidence. The community will spread and be strengthened by it," he added.
"Sri Rama Sene founder Pramod Muthalik, state executive president Siddalinga Swamiji of Karuneshwara Mutt and Kemar Esha Vittaldas Swamiji will participate in the camp," he said.
Sri Rama Sene district president Mohan Bhat, divisional president Anand Shetty, chief secretary Shyam Prasad and district spokesperson Jayarama Ambekallu were present.
