Silverstone (England), July 4 (IANS): Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg will start Sunday's Formula 1 British Grand Prix in ninth position after he clocked one minute, 33.673 seconds in Saturday's qualifying at the historic Silverstone Circuit here on Saturday.
Hulkenberg's Mexican teammate could not qualify for Q3 and will start the race in 11th position after clocking 1:34.268 in Q2.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton topped the time sheets and will start on pole at his home Grand Prix followed by teammate Nico Rosberg, who finished a 10th of a second slower. Williams' Felipe Massa will start third.
The British GP is the ninth round of the 19-race season. The circuit is 5.8 km long and has 18 corners while the race will be run over 52 laps.
Germany's Hulkenberg is in ninth spot in the drivers' championship with 18 points followed by Perez, who is 12th with 13 points. In the constructors' standings, Force India are fifth with 31 points, 24 behind Red Bull and two ahead of Lotus.
