Mangaluru, Jun 27: State BJP president, Prahlad Joshi, lamented about the unwanted happenings in the state like illegal sand mining, lottery and matka, goondaism by ministers, deaths of farmers with each passing day etc in Karnataka. He remarked that one wonders whether one is in Bihar or Karnataka, taking cue from the developments taking place in the state as of now.
"These things are happening during the regime of the Congress government led by Siddaramaiah in Karnataka. People are repenting their earlier decision to vote for Congress. We will wait and watch what gift the people will present to the Siddu government in the coming days," Joshi said.
He was speaking during his private visit with family members to Mulky Bappanadu Goddess Durgaparameshwari temple and Volalanke Lord Venkataramana temple at Mulky on Friday June 26.
"Siddaramaiah government can be aptly termed as 'Nidderamaiah' government. Because it is in complete hibernation. This government does not have even an iota of concern for the plight of the people. The government appears to be in coma, and it has not been effectively implementing its schemes. It is mired in problems. An anti-incumbency wave is clearly sweeping across the state," he explained.
Joshi said the party leadership is very happy about the achievements of Dakshina Kannada MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel. He felt that Kateel rose to this level by keeping close contact with his constituency and people there, apart from raising various topics concerning his constituency in the Lok Sabha. "Nalin Kateel, who has risen to be an MP after being an ordinary activist of the party, has brought laurels for BJP too with his feat. It is but common for the adversaries to feel jealous of him. I would have congratulated evenif a Congress MP had topped the list instead of Kateel," he claimed.
BJP constituency general secretary, Devaprasad Punaroor, Mulky town panchayat member, Purushotham Rao, Kilpady gram panchayat member, Srikant Rao, temple representatives, Surendra Shenoy, Prasad Kamath, Sibhaschandra Prabhu, Nagendra Pai, and others were present.
