The event at the Khudiram Anushilan Kendra will involve two types of the art, namely 'Kata' and 'Kumite' (free-style).
Asian Games Bronze Winner boxer Sarita Devi would be the chief guest for the event.
The various age categories involve students from six years to more senior women.
"The event has been organized with the sole aim of helping women and girls protect themselves.. we should have done this a lot earlier. It would give them a lot of self confidence. They will hugely benefit from the event," said Joydeep Mondal, secretary of Karate-Do Association of Bengal.
