Los Angeles, June 7 (IANS): Actor Jason Statham has criticised the use of stunt doubles and computer-generated imagery in action movies.
"Any guy can do it. I have no ambition. I mean, I could take my grandma and put her in a cape and then put her in a green screen, and they'll have stunt doubles come in and do all the action," Statham said about his new movie "Spy" while speaking to an Italian entertainment website, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The actor thinks that those kinds of techniques were effortless.
"Anybody can do it. They're relying on stunt doubles and green screen and $200 million budget. It's all CGI created," he said.
Calling the action techniques "not authentic," the “Crank” actor said that he would be impressed if the action scenes were performed by the real star, not using stunt doubles or CGI.
