Muscat, Jun 6: Social/Educational Welfare Association (SEWA) and South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association (SKMWA) are socio-cultural organizations concerned in promoting educational awareness among the economically deprived students. They believe in community service with a smile.
To promote student welfare SEWA and SKMWA are inviting applications for educational scholarships for the year 2015-2016.
Applications are available to Muslim students from Dakshina Kannada/Udupi districts wishing to join the three year degree/ diploma course of any reputed college or educational institute in the districts mentioned. Meritorious students who have passed the 12th standard/PUC in the year 2014 - 2015 with 70% marks and above and who are economically poor are eligible to apply.
Applications must include the following details:
1. CV/resume, details of parents/guardians, income and source, number of dependants, home address, contact numbers and e-mail address.
2. Names of two local references with address and telephone numbers (mobile and landline).
3. Passport size photos.
4. An identification letter from the related masjid/jamath, on their letter head with telephone numbers (mobile and landline).
5. Copy of final marks sheet of 12th standard/PUC for 2014-2015, duly attested by the principal of the college/institute.
6. Copy of the final marks card of 10th standard/SSLC and 11th standard.
7. Details of course/fees and the college/institute the applicant wishes to join.
8. Advt ref no SEWA/SKMWA/Mct - Mng / 1436-2015 should be clearly mentioned.
Last date for submission of the application is Wednesday June 17.
