Putur, May 28: Nisha (26) from Kalanja village near Uppinangady in the taluk has gone missing from her home since Tuesday May 26. She had left her parental home on Tuesday along with children, Kavyashree (5) and Shilpashree (2), telling the family members that she was leaving for the house of a relative. However, all the three have become untraceable since they left. A case stands filed in Uppinangady police station relating to this incident.
Nisha had married Prashant from Mundakallu in Charmadi village seven years back. However, the couple suffered from inadequate mutual understanding and lack of compatibility. Family problems compounded matters further. A complaint had also been filed with the Women's Commission at Beltangady. Nisha, fed up by the disturbances, had left her husband's home and started living with her mother in Kalanja village.
It is said that at the advice of her father-in-law, Pitambar, Nisha had left her parental home on May 26 with children, telling the people at home that she would be returning to her in-laws. However, it was later found that she never reached Charmadi, nor returned to her parental home. Worried over this disappearance, Nisha's mother filed a complaint in Uppinangady police station, where a missing case was registered.
