Kasargod, May 23: The peculiar case of sudden disappearance of five members of a single family from Badiadka has remained unresolved.

Badiadka police, who have been investigating the matter, have so far not been able to get access to any clinching information or get any idea about the purpose and way in which the family that lived in Badiadka Kuntalumoole disappeared in thin air, as their cell phones have remained switched off since they left. Therefore, the police station has sought help of the cyber cell to crack the mystery.

Uday (35), his wife, Prema (20), their children, Srijit (4) and Sangeeta (2) as well as Prema's younger sister, Ramya (15) had gone missing without a trace all of a sudden. They have not been sighted since May 21.

On the basis of a complaint filed by Prema's mother, Chandravati from Kumbdaje Kuntalumoole, Badiadka police have been investigating the case. The police have also expanded the scope of their investigation from Kerala to Karnataka. However, no plausible reasons have so far been attributed to this mysterious disappearance.
