Mangaluru, May 20: A woman passenger of an auto rickshaw was tossed out of the vehicle due to the sudden jerk caused when the three-wheeler hit a car ahead. The incident occurred near the petrol bunk near Karnad Industrial Area, Mulky, on the evening of Tuesday May 19.
The woman, identified as Susheela (54) residing near Harihara Temple in karnad, who fell on the road divider, suffered grave injuries and breathed her last before reaching the hospital.
It is said that the three-wheeler driver lose control and hit the car on account of the erratic signals given by the driver of the car. It is said that the driver had given the signal to turn his car towards the first bend of Karnad Industrial Area, but at the last minute, he seemed to have changed his mind, and moved ahead and brought the car on the highway again. As a result, the auto rickshaw that was following the car, hit the car.
Susheela was going to her daughter's home located in Karnad Sadashiva Nagar near Mulky, when tragedy struck. A case relating to this accident stands registered in Suratkal traffic police station.
