Bengaluru student, on trial for drunk hit-and-run, now in road rage case

Bengaluru, May 13 (NDTV): A college student in Bengaluru who is being tried for a drunk driving case in which one person died has now been charged in a new case of road rage.

Rajesh Reddy, 22, was driving his BMW last week when it was allegedly hit by another car in the heart of the city. The police says Reddy then snatched the keys of the other car, an Etios, from its driver, and took off with that car, driving it rashly to ensure it was damaged. After being arrested, the student was granted bail.

In 2013, Reddy was allegedly driving drunk and speeding in his Audi when he hit an auto. One person died. CCTV footage of that accident had outraged the city because it showed how rashly he was driving.

Reddy's father is an industrialist.

    His Rich dad will pay the Etios Driver/ Owner and there never will be a Charge on him. He will also get away with the older drunken driving claim, the people who died in that accident and the one who got crippled will suffer throughout their life.
    Things like this is what makes us look out for Vigilantes giving out Justice, however if we do that what is the difference between them and us.
    Hope Civil society wakes up to Law and order one day.

    I think that's what we can expect as per our judicial system. An idiot who was already caught for drunk and drive killing a person, roaming freely to end up another accident... he will be out with a bail... and very soon we can see him hitting his hatric. Nothing else we can expect as per our legal and judicial system. May be , as our honourable ( ?? ) CM said, we may have to live with these or bear these things... god only can help us, ordinary citizens or public.

    This superrich guy can do anything with people who are less wealthier and less influential. Fight should be between equals. A strong n powerful guy can always thrash the weak. Can he take on son of Ambani ? If an ordinary person takes on these mighty powerful people, ordinary person will be killed. Super rich will throw some bucks at their chelas and ute criminal plans to eliminate those who fight against the mighty.     22 years old student drives BMW. Driving Audi when He was 20 years old. Now He out on Bail,So He will be driving Rolls-Roys to Kill few. This is the sign of Illegal money. May be He is from Bellary Reddy's Left over. I am sure many of You may remember of a young Shetty Boy from Toll Gate,Mangalore area who killed 2 laborers in Kuloor. Then He was on Bail. Came out rowdier than before,took Young girl and Killed Her in Urwa with His ARROGANT behavior. He is also from wealthy Gulf Business family. Again He is out on bail for sure to kill someone. Law in Karnataka works in favor of illegals.
