Kasargod, May 13: In an incident which occurred at Uduma near here, a gang stopped two brothers when they were travelling in a motor bike, and stabbed them. In the incident which happened on Tuesday May 12 morning, one of the bike-borne youngsters died, and the other was admitted into a hospital in Mangaluru in critical condition.

The attack happened in front of Greenwood School at Aratukadavu in Uduma.

The man who died in the murderous assault was Shahul Hameed (28). His younger brother, Badul Sha (26) suffered grave injuries. They were residents of Kallangala Quaters in Uduma.

The gang fled after executing the attack. Nothing much is known about the gang. It is thought that this attack has something to do with an incident in which a youth was stabbed on the night of May 11 in this region. It is being felt that the gang members would have wrongly construed that the motor bike riders were behind that incident.

The policemen have registered a case and investigation is on.
