Mangaluru, May 10: Hindu Janajagrutha Samithi under the aegis of 'Rashtriya Hindhu Andholan' organized a protest against the union government for its move on taking the gold from the Hindu temples for financially strengthen the country, for removal of 'OM' from 'Yoga-kriya' and for mass media promotion of obscenity and vulgarity in the name of freedom of expression.
Protest was held at DC office here on Sunday, May 10.
Addressing the protest, Sangeetha Prabhu, leader of Rashtriya Hindhu Andholan said "We will condemn the move of union government on taking the the gold from the Hindu temples. We also condemn removal of 'OM' from 'Yoga-kriya'. Donation of gold to templess is part of Hindu rituals. Hindus have faith on the offering the gold to the temples. Union government should feel ashamed to think of using the gold of Hindu temples for the financially strengthening the country."
Vivek Pai, leader Hindhu Janajagrutha Samithi said "Attack on Hindus and on Hindu temples are continuing. Union government wants the gold from temples. Government does not dare to touch religious institutions pertaining to minority faiths. Instead of bringing the black money, government is thinking of taking the gold from the Hindu temples. We condemn this move of the union government. We will hold national level protest against the government if it does not change its stand on plans of taking gold from the Hindu temples."
He also said that in the name of freedom of expression media is involved in promoting the obscenity.
