Bhatkal, May 8: “Inaction after relying on the Almighty and pride for the works done are both social epidemics”, said Pejavara Shree.
He was speaking after blessing the inauguration programme of a free auditorium in the taluk recently.
“Human life is not meant for pleasure alone. It is necessary to have a desire to serve others. One who works only for himself suffers whereas the love of the one who shares it in the society reaches the feet of the almighty. The almighty should be served like we pay tax to the government. The poor and the downtrodden should be helped. It is not possible by meditation alone”, he said.
He praised the attempt of Nagayakshe Samsthana president Ramadas Prabhu to have built a free auditorium in Bhatkal saying that such an attempt was rare in the country.
Ramadas Prabhu, Pramod Muthalik, Surendra Shanbhog, advocate R R Shresti, Dheeru Shanboh, Muralidhar Prabhu, Harishchandra Kamath and others were present.
Prasanna Prabhu compered the programme.
Bhatkal should not be allowed to become second Kashmir: Pramod Mutalik
“It is shocking that some people in Bhatkal are in contact with Pakistani terror outfit ISI. Bhatkal should not be allowed to become the second Kashmir”, said Sri Rama Sena state president, Pramod Mutalik.
Pramod Mutalik was speaking in a news conference held after the inauguration of Nagayakshe free auditorium.
“All the Muslims in Bhatkal are not terrorists. Misdeeds of some people are disclosed. In the report of Jagannath Shetty commission with regard to Bhatkal disturbances, the situation in Bhatkal is stated. The name of Bhatkal can be heard in terrorist activity everywhere in the country. We should not allow the houses and temples of Hindus deserted. The state government has been requested to make the Jagannath Shetty commission report public. The union government should intervene in this connection if the state government fails. Our struggle for the security of the country will continue. We will be holding vehicle rally from Bengaluru to Bhatkal to create awareness. It is shocking that the Hubli court has released the terrorists despite witnesses against them”, he said.
“It is possible to question the court’s decision in the higher court. It is possible to obtain justice. Regarding cow slaughter, U T Khadar has asked me to go to Pakistan if I want. Didn’t Muslims protest when Saddam Hussain was punished? What does Khadar say about it?” he asked.
Local leaders of Sri Rama Sena, Suresh Naika, Jayanth Naika and others were present.
