Mangalore, Mar 25: Former MLA of Beltangady and former district president of JD (S) Vasant Bangera has been suspended from the primary membership of JD (S) for anti-party activities.
This was announced by district JD (S) president K B Balraj here on Saturday March 24. He said that the conference organized by Vasant Bangera at Beltangady on Sunday March 25 has nothing to do with the party and it is his private meeting.
He further said that disgruntled Congress partymen are trying their tricks to pull Vasant Bangera into their camp and are also luring party workers. "Therefore I ask party workers not to participate in the conference to be held at Beltangady," he urged.
Vasant Bangera has been suspended as per the directives given by the JD (S) national president Deve Gowda and under the instructions of state president M P Prakash, said a letter to the district JD (S) unit sent by JD (S) state general secretary YSV Datta.
