Puttur, May 7: The fifth additional district and sessions court here granted anticipatory bail to Preetham and Yogeesh Kamath, both of whom have been named as abettors in a suicide case. They have been named in the case of suicide committed by Poornananda Rao (24), who was running an event management firm at the main road here.
Poornananda Rao had bagged the work of providing flower decorations to the stage at Sullia and Puttur from the above two persons. Staff of Rao's firm, Agnostic Communication, had referred to humiliation in the form mental torture and assault their boss suffered at the hands of the above two persons as the plausible cause for his suicide. At the time of committing suicide in his office on April 23 by hanging himself, Rao had written the names of Preetham and Yogeesh Kamath in a board in the office, duly marking these names with crosses.
The anticipatory bail application was heard on May 2. The court passed orders on May 5. Advocates, B Narasimha Prasad and K Vivekananda had represented the accused in the court.
