Mangaluru, May 5: Agrigold customers and agents welfare association conducted silent march from Agrigold office Milagrees to DC office here at Managaluru on May 4.






"Agrigold was started in 1995 in Vijayawada Andra Pradesh by V Rama Rao Awaz. In past 18 years the company has extended its business in states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Odisha, Chattisgarh and has got lacs of agents. Through them company has got investments of thousand of crore rupees and invested this in many Agriculture based business and has been successful in short time." the statement from the association says.

"Because of this people have built a good confidence in company and invested in different schemes of the company through agents. But unfortunately because of the division of Andra Pradesh state indefinite strike by Power generation companies, private and government employees affected the company. As a result of protest by the people of that region, the company could not open its branch and there was ups and downs in company's business. When the situation started getting better due to the Lok sabha elections the company could not do the essential work and there was delay in payment by the customers this resulted in financial difficulty to the company." the statement says.

"Though company bought good schemes it could not keep the trust and patience of customers and agents. Thus the company had to close many of its branches and the employees could not take the pressure from customers and agents so they too started resigning the job and they also had to leave the place. Some also attempted suicide. To save the interest of customers and agents the organization came to power is Akhila Bharatha Agrigold customers and agents welfare association.

"Demands of the organization are to reimburse the money invested by the customers and in case delayed without reason, to help them under law. When agents benefits are stopped, to solve the conflicts which arise between customers and agents through compromise. And also to take action on the investigation that has been undertaken by government and its departments in interest of investors and agents.To peacefully solve the Agrigold's unfortunate and unlawful activities.Fighting lawfully under democracy for rights of customers and agents through protests is the main aim of the organization. " the statement concludes.
