The programme commenced with prayer dance performed by Ritz Dance group Dubai followed by lighting of the lamp by 13 members representing 13 parishes of Moodbidri varado.
A visual presentation was held showcasing the accomplishments of MVCA in the last decade.
A brief stage programme was held during the event. Chief guest Walter Nandalike, editor-in-chief, Daijiworld.com was welcomed on stage along with president Arun D'Souza, secretary Joshve D'Souza and treasurer John Rego. Association president Arun D'Souza welcomed the gathering and thanked sponsors and well wishers for their unconditional support in the last decade towards the Association. Secretary Joshve presented in brief the Association's achievements over the past 10 years. Sponsors were felicitated during the event with the unique momentoes presented by chief guest Walter Nandalike.
Walter Nandalike congratulated MVCA on their achievements over the last decade and wished all the best for the future. "Completing ten years is indeed a milestone, in this part of the world, everyone is busy but you have dedicated your time for social causes and to your native. Do not stop your good work at 10 years, you have the potential of achieving many more things. May you celebrate many more jubilees.
"Every one has talent, but you need to use it in the right way, and for that one needs to have dedication and put in hard work. Do not make excuses saying you have 'no time', even Mother Teresa had only 24 hours a day, but she achieved something extraordinary. Let us use some of the god-given time for ourselves and for others. Success will come only if you make honest attempts," said Walter in his address.
As announced earlier, the Association offered an array of entertainment in the form of comedy skits, dances, and spot games which were thoroughly enjoyed by the gathering. Skits were performed by 'Pokri Byndoor' team of Ashok and Kiran, Association members Joel, Joshve, Vicky and Herald.
'Ritz' dance troupe performed some remarkable dance numbers. Several dances were presented by Rudolf and group, Livana and group, Waluscha and group.
The entire event was ably compered by Melwin Vas Siddakatte. The vote of thanks proposed by Richard Saldanha Sampige.
