Attempt to join army with fake certificate - complaint filed

Mangaluru, Apr 25: A complaint has been filed in Kavoor police station here on behalf of Army Recruitment Office in the city, alleging that a PUC completion certificate produced by a candidate desirous of joining the Indian Army has been found to be fake.

The accused is Raveesh N P, a resident of Nagammana Halli in Hassan district. He had taken part in the army recruitment rally held at Karwar between February 10 and 17, 2014, at Karwar. He had passed physical fitness and medical tests. Later he also cleared a written examination held in the Army Recruitment Office located at Kulur in the city.

The recruitment office had forwarded the second PU marks card provided by the candidate during the above exercise to the department concerned. The army has since been informed by the department that the said certificate happens to be fake.

Through the said complaint, the army officials have claimed that Raveesh had committed fraud by trying to secure employment by creating a fake certificate.
