Chennai, April 22 (IANS): If industry sources are to be believed, superstar Rajinikanth and filmmaker S. Shankar are most likely to team up for the third time in a yet-untitled Tamil project, which is currently in discussion phase.
The makers of recent Tamil blockbuster "Kaththi" are expected to support the project financially.
"It is not known whether Rajinikanth and Shankar are teaming up for 'Enthiran 2', but they are likely to come together for a project soon. Lyca, the producers of 'Kaththi' will produce this project," a source told IANS.
Apparently, Shankar had approached actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan to be part of the project as well.
"Kamal sir was approached but he turned down the offer for unknown reasons. He was even narrated the story," the source said.
Shankar now plans to rope in actor Vikram instead.
Rajinikanth and Shankar had previously worked in two blockbusters, "Sivaji" and "Enthiran".
