500 children from different areas of Belthangady Taluka participated and exhibited their talents in the program. The main intention of this program was to encourage rural children to cultivate the habit of participating in extracurricular activities and to motivate and boost their confidence level.
The program started with the prayer dance of members of Shri Kripa Children's Club Padangady. Kavya Guripalla welcomed the guests and the audience to the program.

The organization has held many awareness programs, cultural and sports competitions, educational assistance and sponsorship programs for many children. These programs have helped them to build self confidence and participate in all the activities which forms the basis for their life to overcome their hesitation, inhibition, low self esteem to achieve something special in their lives. She wished all her friends to utilize this wonderful opportunity.
Pithambara Heraje, former SP and now president of Gurunarayana Seva Sangha, Belthangady inaugurated the program and said, “This is a unique program which I have attended till now. I am very happy to see these children here and I appreciate the effort of the organization for assisting these poor rural children of the taluka. As children we must have big dreams which are realistic and should try to reach those dreams with maximum efforts. The organization is putting a lot of effort to improve the educational status of the children of the taluka by providing financial assistance to teachers for the understaffed government school, play materials, teaching material and conducting different awareness programs. As beneficiaries of the organization, we should utilize these opportunities and develop ourselves and should be thankful to the organization.”
“We should always look back at the organization when we reach our goals and should visit them to thank their efforts. Nowadays many children are exposed to different types of violence and as parents we try to hide them by thinking that it is good for them. But it is a big mistake to hide them and to give an opportunity to those criminals to spoil other children’s lives. When we undergo these situations we must seek the support of the organizations which specially work for children to resolve and fight against those issues. I wish the organization and all its beneficiaries good luck and wish to see you all in better positions to lead India.”
Ashitha member of Nehru Children Club, Barengaya shared her experience and said, “The organization has been helping all the children in the club through different activities. We are able to develop many skills and improve their knowledge after joining the club. We discuss many issues and problems related to the children in the club and find suitable solutions with the help of the staff of the organization. It also provides a good platform to exhibit our talents and skills. I wish all the children to take this opportunity in a better way.
Vaikunta Prabhu, the secretary of the Rotary Club said, “CKSK is well known for its work for women and children in the Belthangady Taluka. As children we should utilize the facilities given by this kind of organization and we should support our family by having better education and jobs. I wish all the children success in their career and may the organization become a light of hope to the people who are living in dark.
Fr Vinod Mascarenhas, director of Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra(R), Vimukti, Laila gave his presidential speech and said, “The Children club is a wonderful opportunity for the rural children to discuss various child rights issues and to develop their personalities through different activities. Our main objective of the organization is to promote each and every child to actively participate in the club activities and to provide equal opportunity to come forward and reduce their stage fear. Our former president Jawaharlal Nehru says that the children are the real wealth of the nation.”
“Today parents are more concerned to fill their children’s stomachs but not concerned about their education and their rights. Many children will complete their education till primary as they have compulsory education in the government schools. Thereafter children may stop their education and get fascinated towards money making and spoil their own life. We need to concentrate on each and every child for their better future and fight for their rights.
“Nowadays sexual abuse and harassment are more among the children and these incidents will affect the mental and physical health of the children. Parents and caregivers should sensitize their children about good touch and bad touch and should teach them to defend against this violence. This program is arranged for every child to exhibit their talents on stage and I request all the children to utilize this opportunity towards a better career.”
Prizes were distributed to the winners of different competitions. Avinash extended the vote of thanks. The MC for the program was Neena, 6-14 coordinator. Children from different clubs organized cultural programs. The program concluded with lunch at 1.30 pm.
