Udupi, Mar 9: The installation ceremony of newly-constructed flagmast in the Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple at Nandikuru near Padubidri was held on Thursday March 8.

The religious rites were held under the guidance of Vedamurthy Kalattur Karunakara Tantri and Vedamurthy Edapadavu Ramamurthy Tantri.

The brahmakalashotsava ceremony of the temple will be held on Sunday March 11 and the sahasra chandikayaga will be held on Tuesday March 13 to 19. 

Shri Kshetra Nandikuru has a long history.  The goddess Nandyuramma is worshipped as village goddess of Adve, Kolachur, Nandikur and Ullur.
