Mumbai, Apr 14: Actress Alia Bhatt who has come a long way since playing a delicate pampered princess in her first movie to a tough girl in Highway says that she is taking a monumental risk in playing the role she has in Udta Punjab.

Alia reportedly said, “The film that I am doing right now is a big risk that I have taken so far in my career. I still can’t talk about the film but it is definitely the hardest film, hardest character that I have played till date.” Co-star Shahid Kapoor too expressed his fear for the role he has in this movie. He had gone on Instagram to garner support from his well-wishers and fans, saying, “Scariest part I have played yet have no clue how I’m going to get it right . Wish me luck guys.” He accompanied his comment with a photo of the script.

The movie that has just went on floors last month has Alia sharing screen space with Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and
Dilijit Dosanjh. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film tells the tale of substance abuse in the wheat bowl of the country. The actors have expressed that the movie is scary for them because of the high expectations that people have attached to it. The main reason for the hype and hoo-ha around this particular film is mainly because it will once again bring exes Kareena and Shahid together onscreen. It is their first film working together since their split up and their previous major hit film "Jab We Met".

Audiences await with bated breath to see how these fine actors will bring a story mired in vice to life.
